SUMMARY

Month: July 1989 McGuire Unit 1 began the month of July increasing power to 100%. On 7/01 at 0130, the unit held at 33% power per the Dispatcher until 0848 the same day.

After a hold for Nuclear Instrumentation Calibration from 1107 to 1300 on 7/01, the unit again held power at 56% power per the Dispatcher on 7/01 from 1400 until 7/05 at 0503. The unit then reached 100%'fu11 power after a hold for Nuclear Instrumentation Calibration. On 7/07 at 1800 the unit reduced power to 65% due to a loss of Condenser vacuum from a slop trough drain pipe crack. 'The unit began power increase at 2235 on 7/07 and reached 100% full power at 0450 on 7/08. The unit operated at or near 100% full power for the remainder of the month.
