This surveillance requires that at least once per 18 months 'each diesel be: inspected by procedures prepared in conjunction with its manufacturer's recommendations. The request proposed to extend the

-inspectioniinterval from 18 months to 30 months.

The purpose lof this: letter is.to provide,_as supplemental.information, the Davis-Besse, diesel manufacturer's, Morrison-Knudsen Company, report which vas issued.following itheir review of Toledo Edison's proposal to increase the Linspection interval.
