2) NRC Letter from C. I. Grimes to W. G. Counsil dated November 16, 1988 Gentlemen:

Reference 1) provided TU Electric's response to additional information requested by reference 2) with respect to SPLB FSAR review in the area of environmental qualification. The purpose of this letter is to revise the response to reference 2) question 2a.

The flood level inside containment following a design basis event (DBE) has been re-evaluated and, as a result, the calculated flood level has dropped from 817*-6" to 816"-10".

Accordingly, Table 3.11-2a, which identifies the electrical equipment, instrumentation and control, equipment and components located inside containment that are potentially submerged following a DBE, has been revised. The revised Table 3.11-2a also incorporates corrections to l

conduit numbers, cable numbers and equipment description previously provided to the NRC.

As stated in reference 1) response 2a, if changes to the CPSES design affect the design flood level inside containment or the identification of equipment that could be potentially submerged, the changes will be properly documented by TV Electric. Any additional equipment which may be potentially submerged l

will be properly qualified per the CPSES Environmental Qualification Program as described in Section 3.11 of the CPSES FSAR.
