' July 2, 1987 To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to request an extension of time for filing application for renewal of Special Nuclear Materials License SNM-798.
Pressure of other work has' forced me to work on the renewal application at home.
I discovered that I did not have all the appropriate information (i.e.
window thicknesses of detectors on radiation survey monitors) to complete the application' forms 30 days before the expiration' date, July 31, 1987.
I have enclosed one draft copy of the application which does include most of the pertinent information needed for license renewal.
I shall obtain the rest of the necessary information at Ripon College on July 7 and have two copies of the completed application sent to you shortly thereafter.
Our special nuclear materials, Pu-Be source and plated alpha sources, are used infrequently and for instructional

purposes only.
I do not anticipate using them at all in August or the first half of September, 1987, so a slight delay in license renewal should pose no difficulty.
