This letter refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. Leonard Cheung of
this office on April 4-6, 1989 at the General Public Utilities Nuclear Corporate

office in Parsippany, New Jersey.
Mr. Cheung discussed the findings of the
inspection with Mr Mancinelli and other members of your staff at the conclusion
of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection included your corrective actions associated
with the Environmental Qualification Program and related open items.
These
items included a number of violations and unresolved items.
Your corrective
actions associated with these items were found to be acceptable.
The inspection
consisted of selective examinations of documents and test reports, and interviews
with personnel. Within the scope of the inspection, no violations were identified.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation in this matter is
appreciated.
