SPENT FUEL STORAGE CAPACITY UPDATED TECHNCIAL SPECIFICATION PAGES (NRC TAC NOS.165928.and 65929)
Gentlemen:
On June 23, 1987, Carolina' Power & Light Company (CP&L) submitted a license amendment request for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Units 1 and 2.
'The proposed amendment' revises Technical Spe;cification 5.6.3 concerning the spent fuel' storage capacity.
The NRC Project Manager has requested that CP&L' review the previously submitted Technical Specification pages to ensure the incorporation of frecently issued license amendments. The Company has determined that updating of the pages is necessary to reflect the. issuance of Amendment 113 for Brunswick Unit 1 and' Amendment 140 for Brunswick Unit 2 These amendments

' removed the limitations on maximum fuel enrichments in Technical Specification -5.6.1.2~and revised Technical Specifications 5.6.1.1 and 5.6.1.2 to require that specific values of k-infinity be met for assemblies stored in the new and spent-fuel pools.
The-enclosed updated Technical Specification pages incorporate the revisions discussed above and supersede, in their entirety, the pages provided in the June 23, 1987 submittal.
