This letter refers to the routine preoperational safety inspection performed by
Messrs. J. M. Trapp, D. M. Silk, and F. P. Bonnett on February 27, 1989 through
March 16,1989 at the Limerick Generating Station, Unit 2 in Limerick, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Trapp discussed the results of the inspection with Mr. Ullrich and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed NRC Region
I inspection report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of procedures, interviews with licensee personnel and observations
by the inspector.
