l We have completed our review of your submittals of March 31 and June 2,1989 for Limerick Unit 2 with the assistance of Brookhaven National Laboratory l

under contract with the NRC staff.

(Your submittal of September 15, 1988 for l

Limerick Unit 1 is still under review). As discussed in the enclosed safety evaluation, we conclude that for Limerick Unit 2, you have provided an acceptable response and that you have demonstrated that the nonconforming materials provide an acceptable level of quality and safety'in accordance with 10CFR50.55(a)(3)(ii).
