With-your application dated March 23, 1989,you remitted a check for
'$150. This application was for an emergency license amendment
.(temporary) for the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit No.1.
The enclosed revisions to 10 CFR 170 that became effective on January 30, 1989, deleted the requirement for a $150 application fee for reactor applications and topical reports. Therefore, a $150 check does not need to be remitted with future applications.
As an administrative convenience, we are not refu "ng the $150 to you.
Instead we will give credit for it when an invoice ' issued for~ review of that application. Let'us know if this is not acceptable to you.
