ELECTRICAL SPLICES IN ANNULUS TRAYS Re:
Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 As a. result of NRC inspector questions regarding the acceptability of electrical cable splices in annulus trays, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted, by letter dated April 30, 1987, justification' of splices in the annulus trays.
By letter dated August 3, 1987, the NRC staff requested additional information and by [[letter::05000327/LER-1987-041, :on 870804,momentary Loss of RHR Flow Occurred When Valve 1-FCV-74-2 Inadvertently Closed,Isolating RHR Pump 1A-A Suction from RCS Loop 4 Hot Leg.Caused by Personnel Error.Student Assistant Counseled|letter dated September 1,1987]], TVA provided NRC staff with the requested information.
The NRC staff has completed its review of TVA's justification of electrical splices in the annulus trays and has determined the current installation of splices in the annulus trays to be acceptable. The staff Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
