RESPONSE TO A NOTICE OF VIOLATION We have received your response to our March 3,1987 Notice of Violation for failure to classify an unusual event on December 30, 1986. In addition, we !
have received EPM-34, dated June 17, 1987 which contained the revisions to AP-501 referred to in your response.
Based upon our review of both documents, it appears that improvements in the i capability to arrive at quick and correct classification had been l
accomplished. However, as stated in your March 3, 1987 reply, communication ,
between security and plant management appears to be a contributing cause for I not classifying the December 30, 1986 event. Please provide us with a 1 description of any actions that have been taken by Security to enhance the communication between them and plant management so that plant operations is fully informed and can properly classify a security event under the emergency plan.
