This letters refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. R. McBrearty
of this office on March 20-24, 1989, at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station,
in Vernon, Vermont.
Mr. McBrearty discussed the findings of the inspection
with Mr. J. P. Pelletier of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection focused on inservice inspection activities as described in the
NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
