The Comission has filed the enclosed " Notice of Issuance of Amendment to Facility Operating License" with the Office of the Federal Register for publication. The notice relates to the issuance of Amendment No. to Facility Operating License No. NPF-18 for LaSalle County Station, Unit 2.

The amendment issued revised the Technical Specifications to allow the licensee to increase the spent fuel pool storage capacity from 1120 to 4078 fuel assemblies.

For further details with respect to the actions see (1) the application for amendment dated September 16, 1986, supplemented August 18, November 5, 24, 1987, May 17, 1988, and June 6, 1989, (2) Amendment No. 48 to License NPF-18, and (3) the Commission's.related Safety Evaluation and Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact.

All of these items are available for public inspection at the Commission's Public Document Room, 2120 L Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20555, and at the Public Library of Illinois Valley Community College, Rural Route No. 1, Oglesby, Illinois 61348.
