This refers to the inspection conducted by. Messrs. H. F. Bundy and R. V. Azua
of this office during the period March 27-31, 1989, of activities authorized by
NRC Operating License NPF-78 for South Texas Project, Unit 2, and to the
discussion of our findings with Mr. W. H. Kinsey and other members of your
i
staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examitied during the inspection included precriticality data review and
i
startuo test results evaluation. Within these areas, the inspection consisted
of sekctive examination of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the NRC inspectors. The inspection
findings are docu.nented in the e niosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
