Dear Mr. Davis:
This letter is in response to an inspection performed by Ms. G.M.
Christoffer of your staff on January 10, 12 Eld 24, 1989, at Zion Station.
The details of the event were then further discussed at an Enforcement Conference that was he.1d on February 16, 1989. The information was obtained during the inspection and the Enforcement Conference was used to complie
' Inspection Report Nos. 50-295/89003 and 50-304/89003. It was concluded that certain activities appeared to be in violation of NRC requirements. The response to the violation is provided in the Attachment in this letter.
The Attachment to this letter contains Safeguards Information as defined in 10 CFR 73.21. Accordingly, this information must be protected f rom public disclosure.
