Gentleman:
This refers to the team inspection conducted by Messrs. G. M. Nejfelt,
M. P. Phillips, E. D. Rau, and Ms. A. M. Bongiovanni of this office on
May 8-12, 1989, of activities at Fermi 2 Nuclear Power Plant authorized by
Facility Operating License No. NPF'43, and to the discussion of our findings
with you at the conclusion of the inspection.

The inipection examined the licensee's actions in responding to findings made
by the.NRC Diagnostic Evaluation Team regarding the training snd qualifications
!
of Fermi 2 personnel. Within this area, the inspection consisted of a
. selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations
of training in progress, and intervsews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR ?.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the-NRC
Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
