SUBJECT:

DCRDR PREIMPLEMENTATION AND SPDS AUDITS AT PEACH BOTTOM The Electrical. Instrumentation and Control Systems Branch.(EICSB) and its

-consultant, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), plan to-conduct a two day audit of the Peach Bottom DCRDR and SPDS design on July 14-and 15, 1986. We plan to spend Monday, July 14, 1986, at the Peach Bottom main x ntrol room and remote shutdown p6nel. Tuesday, July 15, 1986, we plan to audit proposed actions to correct significant HEDs at the licensee's control room mock-up -in Philadelphia,- Pa. The audit has been discussed with lthe Project Manager, G. Gears, of your directorate and he has coordinated this effort with the Philadelphia Electric Company. Please request that the Philadelphia Electric Company make the following preparation and arrangements:

1. Review team personnel-(including contractors) knowledgeable-in the DCRDR tasks-should be available to discuss the review process and to respond to staff questions during.the audit.
2. Documentation of the DCRDR organization, process, and results to date should be available.
3. . Conference or office space should be available for the NRC staff's meeting with the Philadelphia Electric Co. and for the staff and its consultants to meet privately.

4 Access to the control rocm, the remote shutdown facilities, and the control room mock-up should be provided as necessary.

5. Clearance to bring camera equipment on site and to take photographs in the control room, at the remote shutdown facilities, and other areas that would assist in evaluating the DCRDR and SPDS should be provided.

2. Control Room Inventory - Discuss plans and schedules i for completing inventory based on identification of i new operator tasks and information and control requirements derived in 1. above.
