'i By letter dated March 1,1989, General Electric Company (GE) submitted l changes to their Radiological. Contingency. Plan (RCP) for the Vallecitos Nuclear- l Center as required by License Condition No.12,of Special' Nuclear Material License ' l No. SNM.960. 1 Discussion ,
The proposed changes to the RCP reflect the changes' in responsibilities for.the Occupational Health Nurse. The staff has reviewed the changes and agrees with the licensee's ccnclusion that they do not' decrease the response' effectiveness of the Plan. Accordingly, the staff recommends that the RCP be amended to incorporate these changes.
Regional Comments The RCP changes were discussed with Region V on May 22, 1989. There were no objections.
Environmental Effects h
No effluents will be generated as a result of'this licensing action.
Therefore, the environmental impact is minimal. J Conclusion d Based on the staff's review and evaluation, we find that the health and safety 1 of the public and workers will be unaffected by the proposed changes and the ;
amendment should be issued.
