Dear Mr. Fairtile:
In Reference (b), Yankee notified you that management changes had occurred in its corporate management, due to a retirement. Subsequent to that letter I discussed with you its impact on Technical Specification 6.5.2.10 of Yankee Nuclear Power Station (YNPS). The Nuclear Safety Audit and Review Committee (NSAR) will now report to the President of Yankee, instead of a Vice President as noted in Technical Specification 6.5.2.10.
In our discussion, you stated that for this specific situation, in which the NSAR committee will report to a higher corporate position than the one noted in Technical Specification 6.5.2.10, a Technical Specification change is not warranted. Based on our discussion, Yankee will not propose a change to YNPS Technical Specifications.
