Nuclear Regulatory Commission Bulletin 88-05, Nonconforming Materials '

Supplied by Piping Supplies Inc. and West Jersey Manufacturing Company, dated May 6, 1988, requires Consumers Power Company to review purchasing records and determine whether ar.y ASME Code or ASTM materials have been furnished for use in safety-related systems by the subject companies. Supplement I to the bulletin reduced the scope from ASME Code and ASTM materin1s to ASME Code and ASTM fittings and flanges.

In accordance with the bu))etin, we have reviewed our purchasing records and have inspected in stock pipe fittings and flanges for the Big Rock Point Plant. We have found no evidence of receiving any material either directly or Indirectly from Piping Supplies, Inc. or West Jersey Manufacturing Company.

As a result of our findings, no additional actions are planned in response to the bulletin.
