This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. I. T. Yin of this
office on April 25-28, and May 10-12, 1989, of activities at Point Beach Nuclear
Power Plant authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No. DPR-24 and No. DPR-27 and

to the discussion of our findings with you and others at the conclusion of the

inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report-documents our evaluation of
your corrective actions conducted for the findings identified in your
self-initiated engineering oriented functional inspection of the
emergency diesel generator system.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this

inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Public Document Room.
