' Subject: Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-277/89-14 and 50-278/89-14
This refers to:the special security inspection conducted by Mr. G. ' Smith'of
this office on April 5, '1989, of~ activities authorized by NRC License Nos.
1 Pennsylvania and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Smith with
Mri J. Franz, Plant Manager, PBAPS, and others at the conclusion of. the
inspection.
During this inspection, we reviewed your actions to. complete certain short-term
'
commitments you made as a result of our Combined Inspection Nos. 50-277/89-80
o
and 50-278/89-80,.which was conducted in January 1989.
Those commitments were
contained in your. February 8,1989. letter to the:NRC.
Based upon the results of this inspection, we. find that all of the short-term
actions -were satisfactorily completed by the ' dates to which you had committed.
Further, our. review of your security program indicates that there are no
. outstanding security related items that would preclude the restart of PBAPS, at
this time. :Our inspection findings are contained in the report that is
enclosed with this letter.
LSimilar to the conclusions reached in on January 1989 inspection, we were
impressed with the obvious management support, effort, and attention to details
involved in completing the actions we reviewed during this inspection.
We look
forward to a continuance of t.;ose attributes.
