I Gentlemen:
On January 6,1988, TV Electric notified the NRC staff via report logged TXX-88031 of a reportable deficiency involving the containment spray pH.
The report logged TXX-88734, dated October 21, 1988, advised that TV Electric is reevaluating the corrective action for this item.
The latest report on this issue was logged TXX-89022, dated January 20, 1989.
This report is submitted to update the status of this item.
i The reevaluation of this item is ongoing.
The next report will be submitted no later than May 31, 1989.
The schedule for Unit 2 has not changed.
