Dear Mr. Cartwright:

1

SUBJECT:

'RECENT SITE VISITS BY liRC CLERICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

' The ' purpose of this letter is to express my 6 appreciation for the efforts by your staff for the recent site visits by clerical and administrative staff

.of the NRC on March 15 and 22, 1989.

From the many comments I have received.

it is evident that the trip was a success.

It is also apparent that there was considerable planning and coordination that allowed these visits to be' successful.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank some of your employees who helped plan the trip, as well as those who participated. Joe Hegner assisted us during planning stages of the trip, and was'very pleasant and courteous despite the last minute changes that occurred.

Debbie Seay, who served as our

,T,

tour guide, was extremely polite and attentive, and ensured that the groups stayed on schedule.

Ron Stiles'gave the presentation for the see-thru model reactor and also served as a guide for the plant tour.

Ron's presentation was very informative and enjoyable. Tom Harding also participated in both visits and helped answer the many questions asked during each visit. Our;thanks also to.all the escorts for the tours through the simulator, LE0F, turbine deck, Technical Support Center and diesel rocm.' These site visits provided our staff with a valuable educational opportunity and were' a very positive experience.

Sincerely,

/s/
