WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 1 - CORRECTION OF ERROR INCURRED DURING ISSUANCE OF LICENSE AMENDMENT NO. 133
Dear Mr. Barstow:
On February 28, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 132 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-90 for Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN), Unit 1, which revised the frequency of many surveillance requirements (SRs) throughout the technical specifications (TSs) to implement the Surveillance Frequency Control Program (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20028F733).
SRs 3.3.5.1, 3.3.5.2. and 3.3.5.3 on TS page 3.3-50 were affected by this amendment. Due to the amount of information on the page, TS page 3.3-50a was added to accommodate SRs 3.3.5.2 and 3.3.5.3.
On March 30, 2020, the NRC issued Amendment No. 133 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-90 for WBN, Unit 1, which revised TS 3.3.5, Loss of Power (LOP) Diesel Generator (DG) Start Instrumentation, Condition C to require, with one or more channels per bus inoperable, restoring the channels to operable status within one hour. This amendment also affected TS page 3.3-50.
During the issuance of Amendment No. 133, the NRC issued revised TS page 3.3-50; however, the page did not reflect the revision previously made by Amendment No. 132.
The purpose of this letter is to issue a correction to WBN, Unit 1 TS page 3.3-50 for Amendment No. 133 that accurately reflects the revision also made by Amendment No. 132.
The NRC concludes that corrections are entirely editorial in nature and do not change the staffs previous conclusion in the safety evaluations for Amendment Nos. 132 and 133, nor do they affect the no significant hazards considerations, as published in the Federal Register (FR) on April 9, 2019 (84 FR 14152) and February 25, 2020 (85 FR 10734), respectively. Enclosed, please find corrected TS page 3.3-50.
