Box 128 San Clemente, California 92674-0128 l SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-361/98-10; 50-362/98-10 1 1 Dear Mr. Ray: , From August 17-21,1998, a solid radioactive waste and transportation programs inspection was conducted at your San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 reactor facilities. ' The enclosed report presents the scope and results of that inspection. Overall, the inspection verified that very good solid radioactive waste management and radioactive waste / materials transportation programs were effectively implemented. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's ' Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter, its enclosure (s), and your response will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR). Should you havo any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
