Operations Narrative Cooper Nuclear Station August 1987 Load following operation continued through the manth of August.
Two power reductions of greater than 20% were made during this month. On August 23, a power reduction of 26% was made to accommodate scheduled maintenance on a Reactor Recirculation Motor Generator Set, surveillance testing on the main turbine, and reduced load demand. On August 30, a power reduction of 30% was made to accommodate seasonal load demand.
A capacity factor of 91.6% was achieved for the month of August.
