Licensee Event Report 369/87-16 I-52 Gentlemen:
On August 7,
1987, McGuire Nuclear Station determined that Unit 1 may have operated above indicated rated thermal power during several different eight hour shifts. A Licensee Event Report (369/87-16) was to have been submitted to NRC on September 9,
1987; however, all concerns regarding this event have not been resolved. Accordingly, Duke will submit the report on September 22, 1987.
