APPENDIX A Precision Heat Treating Company Docket No. 99901096/87-01 NOTICE OF VIOLATION As a result of the inspection conducted on May 25-29, 1987, and in accordance with Section 206 of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974 and its implementing regulation 10 CFR Part 21, the following violations were identified and categorized in accordance with the NRC Enforcernent Policy (10 CFR Part 2. Appendix C), 49 FR 8583 (March 8, 1984):

A. Section 21.21 of 10 CFR Part 21, states, in part: "Each... corporation...

subject to the regulations in this part shall adopt appropriate procedurcs to: (1) provide for: (1) evaluating deviations...."

Contrary to the above, at the time of the inspection, PHT failed to adopt a Part 21 procedure for evaluating and reporting deviations. Part 21 was imposed on PHT by A&G Engineering Company Incorporated on purchase order j l #5787-0 for 3/8 x 1, HX HD 4140 fastener material.  ;
