Boraflex Neutron Absorber Post Irradiation Performance Data Interim Report No. NS-1-050

Dear Mr. Hodge:

In recognizing the need for more accurate post-irradiation dimensional performance data, Bisco Products has instituted an independent testing program on Boraflex.

Enclosed is a copy of our Interim Test Report No. NS-1-050 which summarizes irradiation performance data received to date.

We recognize the importance of rapidly forwarding this interim data to you, in light of the postulated shrinkage estimates and performance projections noted in the Commonwealth Edison-Quad Cities Station Evaluation which have seemed unwarranted.

The interim report will be supplemented as additional data becomes available.

Copies of supplements as well as the final report will be forwarded to you.

Very truly yours, Y
