We have reviewed the information provided in your letter dated April 15, 1987 concerning the proposed design for the subject system. We find that your design meets the applicable requirements of 10 CFR 50.62 (the ATWS' rule) and is, therefore, acceptable. The enclosed SE provides the basis for this conclusion.

Your commitment to periodically verify isotopic enrichment as well as flow rate, as stated in your April 15, 1987 submittal, should be reflected in your Technical Specifications.
