Dear Ms. Tichler:
Carolina Power & Light Company has receivee your request dated August 10,1987 and appreciates the opportunity to review the draft copy of the report on radioactive effluents released by the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP) for 1985 which includes our previous cornments submitted on June 23, l987. The Company has performed a review of the Brookhaven National '.aboratory (BNL) summary report of BSEP's 1985 effluents. The following correctic.3 are noted:
1.
The Kr-85m activity for ground level releases for the first quarter 1985 should be 1.26 EO Ci. BNL's reported value of 5.31 E-1 is not correct. Evidently, the third quarter value of 5.31 E-1 was inadvertently entered as the first quarter value.
2.
The Kr-85m total activity for the year should be 8.28 El Ci.
The corrections are indicated on the appropriate pages in the attached report.
