The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Comission) has found that:
A.
The application for amendment filed by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (the licensee) dated December 23, 1986 as supplemented, on February 5, 1987 and June 9, 1987, complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act),
and the Commission's regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; B.
The facility will operate in conformity with the application, the provisions of the Act, and the regulations of the Commission; C.
There is reasonable assurance: (i) that the ectivities authorized by this amendment can be conducted without endangering the health and safety of the public, and (ii) that such activities will be conducted in compliance with the regulations of the Commission's regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; D.
The issuance of this amendment will not be inimical to the common defense and security or to the health and safety of the public; E.
The issuance of this amendment is in accordance with 10 CFR Part 51 of the Comission's regulations and all applicable requirements have been satisfied; and F.
Publication of notice of this amendment is not required since it does not involve a significant hazards consideration nor amendment ofalicenseofthetypedescribedin10CFRSection2.106(a)(2) 8709090372 870031 PDR ADDCK 05000225 PDR

Accordingly, Facility License No. CX-22, is hereby amended by revising license condition 2.C.3. to read as follows:

Physical Security Plan The licensee shall fully implement and maintain in effect all provi-sions of the approved physical security plan, including changes and amendments made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(p) and 10 CFR 50.90. The approved physical security plan, which was submitted by letter dated December 23, 1986, consists of a document which is withheld from public disclosure, entitled, " Security Plan, RPI Reactor Critical Facility (RCF), License No. CX-22, Docket No. 50-225," January 1987, as amended by licensee letters dated February 5,1987 and June 9, 1987, which are withheld from public disclosure.

This license amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
