NRC STAFF MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME I.
MOTION Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. 5 2.711, the NRC Staff hereby requests an extension of time until September 2,1987 for filing its prefiled testimony on Contention 6 with respect to Boraflex.

DISCUSSION in its " Order Establishing Schedule for Hearing," dated May 15, 1987, the Board scheduled the hearing in the above-captioned proceeding to commence on September 15, 1987.
By Order dated July 13, 1987, the Board set August 31, 1987 as the dead!!ne for prefifed testimony.
The Staff requests a two-day extension of this dead!!ne for its testimony on Boraflex in order that it may adequately consider recent information on Boraflex.
The Staff has received the results of testing performed on some Boraflex panels in the Turkey Point spent fuel pool by lettter dated e7090 % $ hap ((0 PDR G
e l' k L August 20, 1987. O in addition, the Staff has received additional information from Bisco Products, Inc., the manufacturer of Boraflex, by letter dated August 1987.
Consequently, in order that this recent information may be adequately considered, the Staff requests that it be granted a two-day extension in the deadline for filing its testimony and proposes to transmit its testimony so that it will be received by Thursday, September 3,1987, so that there will be little impact on the preparation of the Board and parties for the hearing.
The Staff is authorized to represent that Steven Frantz, counsel for Licensee, does not object to the proposed extension.

CONCLUSION On the basis of the good cause shown, the Staff requests that it be granted a two-day extension of time to submit its prefiled testimony on Contention 6 with respect to Boraflex.
