Dear Senator Irvin:
I would like to express my concern about nuclear power j
plants. I live in Woodhaven, Michigan, about 15 miles away from
?
Fermi II. The recent incident in Chernobyle has alarmed me.
1 How would the United States handle the same situation in a
{
different city? Is it really worth having nuclear power plants if so many people will perish in an emergency situation?
I would appreciate knowing your views on this subject, and also what the standard procedures would be if there were a complete meltdown at Fermi II.
Sincerely,
(.
