Inspection Report Number 87-07, Unresolved Items Gentlement During recent discussions with the NRC staff..New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) was requested to provide documentation to support completion of the NRC review of unresolved items contained in Inspection Report 87-07.

Accordingly, enclosed please find' concrete lif t drawings and the ground-water analysis as requested. The enclosed documents supplement the supporting documentation provided to the NRC on August 18, 1987 (noted on the enclosed listing).

NHY was also requested to provide an expected completion date for the analysis of concrete shrinkage based on boundary constraints and place-ment sequencing.

It is anticipated that this analysis will be completed by September 11, 1987.

The sample from the SFB sump was taken because no other groundwater inleakage points had water. This sump collects the leakage from the "tell-tale" drains about the Spent Fuel Pool.

It should be noted that since this is an open sump, other water sources might contribute to the volume of water in it, and these could affect the ionic concentrations.

We will attempt to sample groundwater inleakage when we can locate it in the previously identified locations.

thru the concrete for Frank Bellini as per D. !!eikranz. There is con-carn about the seepage (primarily Cl-) as they are about to line the s

pool with S.S.

The swipes were performed with gauze pads and the area swiped was the same as that of CSO921.06, Surface chloride and 2

Flouride Determination (20dm ).

The calculations are also the same as CSO921.06 but since the surface was concrete not stainless steel, the swipe was probably not as complete due to the rough surface of the concrete.
