The following reprt highlights the operating experience of lelf Creek Generating Station for the month of July,1987. This report is being provided pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE

I The unit operated in Mode 1, Power Operation, at 100 percent power until Main Feedwater Pump "A" tripped, resultirg in a Unit Trip on July 20, 1987. Following repair of a Containment Cooling Fan, the l

Unit returned to tbde 1 on July 26 and operated at 100 percent for l

the remainder of the month.

MAJOR SAFETY REIATED MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES i

1.

Replaced a circuit board in the flow indicator for Auxiliary Feedwater to Steam Generator (S/G) "B".

2.

Replaced a control module for Main Steam Isolation Valve for S/G "C".

3.

Replaced a relay card for Feedwater Isolation Valve for S/G "A".

4.

Replaced the air regulator for the letdown dunp valve for high Volune Control Tank level dunp to Recycle Holdup Tank.

5.

Replaced an input module on a Refueling Water Storage Tank temperature indicator.

Replacement of the blades and motor for one Containment Cooling fan.
