The NRC has received an allegation that certain inservice inspection (ISI) activities performed at the Big Rock Point plant during the 1987 refueling outage were conducted with insufficient preplanning and therefore resulted in unnecessary personnel radiation exposure. Details of the allegation are enclosed.
This information is forwarded to Consumers Power Company for review and followup.
We request that the results of your review and disposition of this matter be submitted to NRC Region III. Documentation fJpporting your results should be j maintained at Big Rock Point for subsequent review by Region III.
