REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON GROUN[' WATER WITHDRAWAL RATES In reviewing your April 29, 1987 request for the extension of Construction Permit CPPR-127 for Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station (CPSES), Unit 2, as supplemented on July 22, 1987, we have determined that additional infor-mation is required to complete our review. The information requested is identified in the enclosure.

You are requested to respond within 10 working days of receipt of this request.

The reporting requirements contained in this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under P.L.96-511.

Information needed is the total pumpage rate for each onsite well in cubic meters for each year 1979 through 1986, and far 1987 to present.

In addition, provide the basic data and the analysis for the specified time period.

Provide information on the groundwater level decline in the CPSES ebser-vation wells for 1979 to present to supplement the information contained i

in Table 5.2, Groundwater-Level Decline in the CPSES Observation Wells, of I

the FES.

Information needed is identification of the well, the observation period, the decline in meters, and the rate of decline in meters per year from 1979 to present.

In addition, provide the basic data and the analysis l

for the specified time period.

3.

Provide most current information available on the Texas Water Development Board's review of the groundwater decline in the area surrounding the CPSES site since the FES was prepared to present.
