of this office, on October 5-7, 1987 at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Cor-
peration Engineering Office in Framingham, Massachusetts, and at the Vermont
Yankee Plant in Vernon, Vermont, October 8 and 9, 1987.

the findings of the inspection with Mr. J. Pelletier of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these aret.s, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
