Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Technical Specification Change Request No.165 Pursuant to 10CFR50.90, GPU Nuclear Corporation, operator of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (OCNGS), Provisional Operating License No, DPR-16, requests a change to Appendix A of that license.
With respect to the Safety Limit Violation which occurred at Oyster Creek on September 11, 1987, GPU Nuclear indicated by letter dated October 14, 1987, that it had undertaken a review of the Technical Specifications to determine if any specifications could be more appropriately defined. The Technical Specification change proposed herein is a product of this effort.
The purpose of the subject Technical Specification Change Request (TSCR) is to change the allowable out of service time for the 125 VDC Motor Control Center "DC-2" to 7 days.
Currently, per Specification 3.7.8, the plant is shutdown within 30 hours3.472222e-4 days <br />0.00833 hours <br />4.960317e-5 weeks <br />1.1415e-5 months <br /> if the 125 VDC Motor Control Center "DC-2" becomes unavailable.
Pursuant to 10CFR50.91(b)(1), a copy of this change request has been sent to the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
In addition, a check for $150.00 pursuant to 10CFR170.12 is enclosed for the l
