Letter from I.M. Johnson to T.E. Murley dated December 10, 1987
Dear Mr. Murley:
In the above referenced letter, Commonwealth Edison provided its final report detailing the results of the Quad Cities Unit 1 Pall 1987 IGSCC susceptible piping inspection. A conference call was held on December 17, 1987 with members of your staff regarding the subject report. A list of conference call participants can be found as Attachment A to this letter.
In the course of our conference call, commonwealth Edison indicated and/or reiterated its commitment to the following actions:
(1) Commonwealth Edison agrees to build up the leak barrier weld overlays associated with welds 02BS-S9 and 02BS-SS to full structural overlays in a subsequent refueling outage.
(2) Quad Cities Station agrees to continue its augmented leakage monitoring program pursuant to the requirements of Generic Letter 84-11.
The Station has procedures which administrative 1y require that pump flow monitoring and recording be performed once per four hours.
