i REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ZION UNITS 1 & 2 LTOP TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGES 1.
What is the flow rate of the charging pump and safety injection pump during shutdown condition (Mode 4).

In Section 4.3.2.G.2 of the proposed Technical Specification, at least 4 of the 5 pumps are to be verified to be inoperable.
If 2 charging pumps are going to be run for a short period of time 4 pumps can not be verified to be inoperable. We suggest that the asterisk given in 3.3.2.G.2 also should be in 4.3.2.G.2 for clarity.

The current Technical Specification Section 4.3.2.G, page 94, 3rd paragraph in the right side is revised and given in 4.3.2.G.1 of the proposed Technical Specification. Explain the deletions of con' trol switch position requirements etc., in the proposed Technical Specification Section.
