Peach Bottom Nuclear Operations Monitoring Team We have received your letter of November 24, 1987 indicating a change in the 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> coverage of control room operations by an independent monitor. With the training of all operating shifts that has been completed, new shift manage-ment in place, and an independent shift inspector we have no objections to the change.
In addition to the duties of the shift inspector you described, we i
l believe he should observe control room operations several times each shift on a random basis.
The effectiveness of the change will be examined in our routine inspection program.
