Gentlemen:
This refers to the special safety inspection conducted by Mr. A. S. Gautam
and other NRC representatives of this office on July 13 through November 10,
1987, of activities at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, authorized
by NRC License No. NPF-58 and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. A. Kaplan at the conclusion of the inspection.
The NRC has determined that certain of your activities appeared to be in
violation of NRC requirements.
In addition, this report contains a description
of an Enforcement Conference conducted on November 10, 1987, regarding
identified Environmental Qualification (EQ) program deficiencies and your
proposed corrective actions.
We are releasing this report at this time for
your information.
You will be notified by separate correspondence of our
decision regarding enforcement actions.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
