This refers to the routine saf ety inspection conducted by Mr. D. E. Jones of

this office oa September 21-24, October 5-8, 13-16, and November 30 through
December 3, 1987,.of activities at the CaHaway Plant, Unit 1, authorized by
HRC Operating License No. NPF-30 and to ti,e di.scussion of our findings with
W. T. H. McFarland at the ccxhsion of the inspection.
The' enclosed copy of our inspection report fdentities areas examined during
the ir.spection.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of precedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements wwe id0ntified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordaice with 10 IFR 2.790 of the Comission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the ecclcsed inspection report will be p? aced in the NRC
Public Document Rooni.
