The U.S. Geological Survey was granted an exemption from the FY 1992 annual l

fees for its reactor in Denver, CO, and that exemption has continued th ough FY 1997.

This letter is to certify that the U.S. Geological Survey's research reactor in Denver continues to meet the exemption criteria specified in 10 CFR 171.11(a)(2). The operation and design of the reactor have not changed since our original exemption request contained in letters dated i0/19/92 and 2/11/93.
