REACTIVITY CONTROL SYSTEMS POSITION INDICATOR CHANNELS - OPERATING LIMITING CONDITION FOR OPERATION 3.1.3.2 At least two of the following three CEA position indicator channels shall be OPERABLE for each CEA:

a. CEA Reed Switch Position Transmitter (RSPT 1) with the capability of determining the absolute CEA positions within 5 inches,
b. CEA Reed Switch Position Transmitter (RSPT 2) with the capability of determining the absolute CEA positions within 5 inches, and
c. The CEA pulse counting position indicator channel.

APPLICABILITY: MODES 1 and 2.

ACTION:

With any CEA having only one of the above required.CEA position indicator. .

l channels OPERABLE, within 6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br /> either:

a. Restore at least one of the inoperable position indicator channels l to OPERABLE status, or
b. Be in at least HOT STANDBY, or
c. Position the CEA with the inoperable position indicators at its fully withdrawn or fully inserted position while maintaining the requirements of Specifications 3.1.3.1, 3.1.3.5, and 3.1.3.6.

Operation may then continue provided the CEA with the inoperable position indicators is maintained fully withdrawn er fully inserted, except during surveillance testing pursuant to the requirements of Specification 4.1.3.1.2, and the CEA position is verified at least once per 12 hours1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br /> thereafter by its " Full Out" or "rull In" limit.

c ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS 1

CONTAINMENT PENETRATION CONDUCTOR OVERCURRENT PROTECTIVE DEVICES l

l LIMITING CONDITION FOR OPERATION 3.8.2.5 Primary and backup containment penetration conductor overcurrent j protective devices associated with each containment electrical penetration l circuit shall be OPERABLE. The scope of these protective devices excludes those circuits for which credible fault currents would not exceed the electrical penetration design rating.

l APPLICABILITY: MODES 1, 2, 3 and 4.

ACTION:

With one or more of the containment penetration conductor overcurrent l protective devices inoperable:

a. De-energize the circuit (s) by tripping the associated backup circuit l breaker within 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> and verifying the backup circuit breaker to.

be tripped at least once per 7 days thereafter, or

b. Be in at least HOT STANDBY within the next 6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br /> and in COLD SHUTDOWN within the following 30 hours3.472222e-4 days <br />0.00833 hours <br />4.960317e-5 weeks <br />1.1415e-5 months <br />.

SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS 4.8.2.5 All containment penetration conductor overcurrent protective devices shall be demonstrated OPERABLE in accordance with the manufacturers' l recommendations:

a. At least once per 18 months:
1. For at least one 6.9 kV reactor coolant pump circuit, such that all reactor coolant pump circuits and their associated backup circuits are demonstrated OPERABLE at least each 72 months, by performance of:

(a) A CHANNEL CALIBRATION of the associated protective relays, and (b) An integrated system functional test which includes simulated automatic actuation of the system and verifying that each relay and associated circuit breakers and control circuits function as designed.

2. For e ch type of 480 volt air frame protective device, such that all 480 volt air frame protective devices are demonstrated OPERABLE at least once each N x 18 months, where N is the number of devices of each type, by performance of:

(a) A calibration of the protective relays for devices that i are actuated by protective relays which includes l verification of the range, accuracy, and alarm / trip  !

SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS 4.8.2.5 All containment penetration conductor overcurrent protective devices shewn in TeWee-4--6-1-shall be demonstrated. OPERABLE in accordance with the l manufacturers' recommendations:

a. At least once per 18 months:

1 For at least one 6.9 kv reactor coolant pump circuit, such that all reactor coolant pump circuits and their associated backup circuits are demonstrated OPERASLE at least each 72 months, by p,rformance of:

(a) A CHANNEL CALIBRATION of the associated protective  ;
