SCHEDULE FOR RESPONSE TO NRC IDENTIFIED PROGRAMMATIC WEAKNESS IN ACCESS CONTROL PROGRAM NRC letter on the Big Rock Point docket dated October 30, 1987 requested Consumers Power Company to respond to a NRC identified programmatic ueakness in reference to the vital area access control program for our nuclear power plants.
Presently, Consumers Power Companys' Legal, Labor Relations and Human Resources l
Departments are reviewing current company policies and applicable State and Federal laws which relate to requirements for personnel granted unescorted l
access to our nuclear facilities to report criminal convictions to the Company.
This review is scheduled to be completed by February 5, 1988. Upon completion of this review Consumers Power Company will inform the NRC of the results and our proposed action.
Because of the generic implications, this response is being submitted on both Palisades and Big Rock Point dockets.
