SUBJECT:
SAN ONOFRE; DISCRIMINATION AGAINST SENIOR ENGINEER BY MANAGEMENT FOR REPORTING SAFETY CONCERNS (CASE NO. 4-96-056)
On January 9, 1997, Laxmi KHANDELWAL, former Senior Engineer at Sout;,ern California Edison (SCE), San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), was interviewed by Special Agent Philip Joukoff, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of Investigations, Region IV. KHANDELWAL was interviewed regarding his allegation that he was the subject of discrimination by SONGS management for reporting safety concerns.
Attached is a copy of the transcript of interview with exhibits for your review of any potential safety / technical concerns and comments by RIV staff and Regional Counsel.
